Bevan died in a Southport hospital at the age of 66 on Monday, June 3, 1991. The tributes poured in, including one from one of Bevan's arch-rivals Billy Boston - the only other player to have scored more than 500 career tries.
Ex-Wigan winger Boston said in the Warrington Guardian: "Brian Bevan was the greatest I ever played against. He was a real gentleman. No-one will ever near his record."
And Warrington club president Clarrie Owen said: "Words cannot really describe Brian Bevan. He was a one-off. His try-scoring was phenomenal. "I have been privileged to be born in an era which produced Brian Bevan."

Billy Boston lives at Hawkley Hall Wigan, he is now retired. He was the landlord of the Griffin pub in Wigan which had become a mecca to RL supporters in Wigan and visiting supporters. He is a regular at the JJB stadium and can be often seen in the West stand with the dignitaries, though it isn't really Billies style. He has time for anyone and everyone and always has a great tale to tell and opinions and about modern players. If you want to wind him up ask his opinion of Offiah(thanks Ed I Tackle)

Dennis runs a garage, as far as I'm aware still is an avid Cas follower, for many years he was on the coaching staff down the lane (sorry Jungle), coaching what was the colts side, would now be equivellent to the academy, he has 3 sons, two of them played for Cas, Ian played a number of first team games before moving on to Dewsbury and unfortunately having to retire prematurely with injury and Richard, a really promising player, who never turned pro in spite of being offered terms. Steve Rogers tragically and suddenly passed away 3/1/06. Rogers took his own life, blieved to be suffering from depression - he was 51. Steve was father of duel international Matt Rogers, a wallaby.

Believed to be still involved in his Law business

Sydney, NSW, Australia...
Kevin Ryan is still a local, he ran for State Member of Parliament at the last State elections, didn't get a lot of votes, last I know of he is basically retired. (thanks SaintSOB)
Late October 2004......... Ryan suffered a serious heart attack whilst jogging along Manly Beach. This remarkable man was 70 years old. He is believed to be on the slow road to recovery.

Kurt now lives on the Gold Coast and is actively involved with the Burleigh Bears. He has two sons playing for the Bears. Both are backrowers like their illustrious father and are pretty handy footballers. Kurt jr plays in the Bears U 19 Colts side which is coached by another blast from the past in Mark KoCass. (thanks Paul Glock)

Craig along with his sons, Brad and Dean, own the Unanderra Hotel and Cabbage Tree Hotel. The Youngs purchased the Unanderra Hotel in 1991 (the year after Craig was sacked as coach of the Dragons) and The Cabbage Tree Hotel in 2008. Since 2005, Young has had a role as team manager with the New South Wales Blues squads.
