From Yappy, off the League Unlimited Rugby Leage Forum
Nominated: Keith Holman Western Suburbs Magpies

Wests best of the last 50 is Keith Holman (not that I'm biased). 203 First Grade games from 48-61, 2 Grand Finals + missed out on 52 because he was away with the Kangaroos. 32 tests + another bunch of World Cup games (they we're classified as Tests back then), Captain-coach during his playing days then came back in 77 to coach the Maggies to the Amco cup after a successful refereeing career that included the 71 gf and tests. Still to this day the patron of Wests Junior League and surely the only player to have a junior league club named after him. I had the pleasure of interviewing him at his home one day - what a shrine to the Magpies and a great player. Black and White to his bootstraps Keith and Hazel Holman are the guests of honor at just about every Magpies function. Yappy is as close to God as you can get.

Very, very honourable mentions must of course go to guys like Noel Kelly (it shows how great Holman was that Ned is relegated to second place), Peter Dimond, Jim Cody, Tommy, Dallas, Wayne Smith, Trevor Cogger, and even later day players like Cherry and Skando all busted their hump for Wests over long careers.
