Title: ... p118 - Memories of Frank Foster & (p56) Alex Murphy - by Peter Hutchinson

As a kid growing up in West Cumbria I remember watching Frank Foster - and several stoushes with a certain Alex Murphy.

On one occasion they were both sent off at Derwent Park with Frank so the story goes offering to finish the fight outside the ground.

Next thing Alex is showered & sitting in the Directors Box well away from Frank who was in the "dugout".

At the time "Sol" Roper was Workington's halfback and probably Murphy's greatest threat to his place in the GB team
