Bob Fulton: I played with him at Easts
Bob Fulton was to me the ultimate professional athlete.

He trained like no other at footy training stayed later like 40 mins doing sprints then had to go back to his family at Manly where he lived etc he never let his team down in any game and was always about football and a great family man.

One day we were playing St George at Leichardt Oval...we were struggling and he was Capt and was playing lockforward that night.

I was at fullback.

After a scrum he got trampled on with the studs cutting a big gash over his right eye lid...he was in pain and discomfort and could not see thru it. He played with one eye open the entire game but he held the team up and stopped 2 certain tries with cover defending tackles. He kept the team focused and we won that night...

I did not appreciate his professionalism fully until after my retirement years but he was a real insipration to me and the players.
