Leeds is a difficult one.
The
likes of Mick Shoebottom, whose career was
wickedly cut short would be at the top of most lists,
as would Roy Powell (who was taken from us
at an early age) and John Holmes (who played
well beyond his retirement age to drop into the
A-Team and try and blood a new set of stars in the
80's)*

If you wanted to take it off the field, then the
likes of Joe Warham who served the club as
coach, general manager and director for upwards
of 40 years must be in with a shout.
What
about Billy Watts - timekeeper since the
days before watches were invented?

My greatest clubman is: David Heron loose forward
- a consistently
class act in a seldom successful Leeds side. Played
for Leeds either side
of the Aussie invasion of 1984/5. Filled in at stand
off to good effect
when pressed and enjoyed a swansong at our beloved
neighbours.
