Terry Lamb is a legend of league.

He is an ambassdor for our community and a powerful role model for our younger kids wanting to play rugby league.

Bring back the Biff - I remember one Saturday afternoon match at Belmore in the early nineties and watching Baa flatten Scott Gourley with a cheeky right as the players were gathering together to pack the scrum down.....but Baa's greatest hit was on Elery Hanley 88 GF...poor Elery saw stars for a week

MAD DOG,

"i remember the lovely biff in the 1988 drand final between doggies and balmain tigers... was a brawl, folkes landed a heap of punches to i think was benny elias..

also i remember ... either late 80s or perhaps early 90s when Bulldog legend Terry 'baa baa' Lamb punched out michael speechley from cronulla... hmm how lovely was dat!"

CLUB SWEAT,

"It was 1991 @ Belmore... It was a scrum - packed twice and Speechley was Niggling. Speechley went again and Baa threw one. Speechley threw one in return and Baa absolutley decked him. The irony was that as Speechley went of, he got 10 in the bin, and Baa got off scot free. We ended up tearing up the Sharks by about 40 i think !!!!!! Eddis Ward was the ref i think.."

DOG E,

"I still have the news report this incident taped after a game somehwre!...It was a RIPPER of a left jab - he was NUGGETY little bloke and there was HEAPS behind it alright - Split his cheek open like a melon!

And I don't think Speechley actually threw a punch - from what i recall it was genuine two hit fight - Lamb hitting Spechley then Spechley hiitting the turf - he shaped up to Baa first TO trow one, but was way too slow for the wily old Cheso lad who knew what was coming - then BANG!...Next thing he knew he was arse up on the ground! Just LOVELY!! "

Hello to all Rugby League fans.

The above home address is a former address as i currently reside in the UK, in the Rugby Leage Town of Warrington.

During the late 1979/80 having played in the Wests junior league, i was graded by Wests having played presidents cup.

I had the pleasure of training and playing with Terry at that early stage of his career. I recollect having first hand experience of Terry during a trial at the Endeavour field, cronulla. I played with him and then watched from the sidelines having received an injury during the game.

I believe i have a good knowledge of rugby league, on this day i turned to my friend Robert Gooch, another West U 23 player and said, "" Rob, this lad is hopeless, and very over rated, there is no way he will even make the Wests first team"

I am glad to admit i was wrong, very wrong, Terry proved he was a fine player off and on the pitch and was a great family man.

You lose touch with all your ex playing mates, should anybody recognise my e-mail and would wish to correspond it would be my pleasure to return any message.

PS I still follow the Wests tigers, via the Sky channel. Season 2004 was okay for them, but as it as been for many years, we just seem to be that three or four good players short of a really good team.

Good luck to Wests and well done to Canterbury this year.

Gary Worrall. (Wests 1979/80).

“During the Roy Masters era at Wests, Terry Lamb was sitting alongside Dallas Donnelley in the dressing room before a particularly important match.

The atmosphere was white hot, and coach Masters was pacing around the room asking each player what he was going to do to his opposite number once he got out onto the paddock.

Masters finally got to Dallas Donnelley and enquired “Dallas, what are you going to do?” Dallas replied, I’m going to get him and rip his head off and poke his eyes out and bite him and kick him and punch him.

I’m really going to get into him”.

“Good stuff!” said the coach.

Masters then asked of Lamb: “Terry, what are you going to do to your bloke when you get hold of him?”

Baa baa didn’t bat an eyelid.

“I’m going to give mine to Dallas” he said.

I was at that game at Belmore and my recollections are...

There was scrum

The scrum broke with the Bulldogs in possesion, play started to move up field as the Bulldogs made a half break.

Lamb was trying to get in to back up but Speechley was holding him back, fists on his jersey like he wanted to fight him.

Lamb tried to shake him off a couple of time becuase he looked like he wanted to back up as the Bulldogs attacked but Speecheley just wouldn't let go..... so Lamb decked him BAM!

Speechley's legs just buckled and Lamb ran off to join the play. BEAUTIFUL!

Just for the record it was 1990 and the bulldogs won the match in the last 10 minutes by 18-10. I believe Mark Robinson scored a hatrick to win it

In addition, i recall a match in 1984 (round 13 or 14) at Belmore against in the eels. We lost that game in rather odd circumstances 13-14. But what I do remember Terry Lamb playing on one leg and scoring both tries for the bulldogs in that match. There was so match strapping on his left ankle, I just couldn't believe he continued to play on.
