I was asking myself what happened to Mark Graham (one of my favourite
players) only a few weeks ago and managed to find the following on the
internet:
"If anyone wants to know where Mark Graham is these days, look no
further than the Japanese City of Osaka where he is the defensive coach for
the Kintetsu Company rugby team.
The 47-year-old former rugby league legend, Warriors coach and Auckland
NPC defensive coach is said to be on a very lucrative contract in a
company described as one of the high-rollers in transport, rail, shipping
and real estate throughout Japan.
These days Graham lives with his third wife, Jakki and two-year-old
daughter, Grace, in a luxury 10th floor apartment in the heart of Osaka
and he says he couldn't be happier."
The web site was:
http://www.xtramsn.co.nz/sport/0,,3986-2624845,00.html
Not sure of the actual date of this news but could be 2003.
Great site! Have just discovered it and will now enjoy browsing around.
I'm an old North Sydney Bears fan, feeling well and truly
disenfranchised and forgotten by the new rulers of the game in Australia.
Best wishes,
John Low

In the 1st test match between New Zealand and
Australia in 1985 at Lang Park, Mark Graham copped a high shot from the
Aussie second rower Noel Cleal, the Aussie commentator said there could be
some retribution from the Kiwi's.
From the tap penalty who was the
first man to take the ball up, Kevin Tamati, he steamed into the Aussies
without any thought for his own safety, a very hard man among hard men

You have a great site and you mention a number
of players I have seen play, played against, and played on the
same team with (Mark Graham for one....in his younger days he
had a siamese cat that sat when told and fetched like a dog)
and they were great years.

upon searching for my dad on google i found many results. it made me

It was nice to see Mark's daughter writing to this
site. Georgia, your dad was the best rugby league player i've ever
watched. On top of that he was one of the nice guys of the game - hard as
nails but never, ever dirty. He was the type who would sign an autograph
for every kid waiting (including me) - he never acted like a star but he
was one.
There will only ever be one Mark Graham
