Graham O'Grady learnt his trade under the guidance
of the Western Suburbs forward pack during the scary era of the fibros.
He provided skill to the other forwards' braun. However it was at
Newtown where he displayed just how tough he was.
You may recall the famous all-in brawl during the semi against Manly in '81. O'Grady was
single-handedly responsible for dropping at least three players. He gave facial
poundings to two players side by side in quick succession & then looked
around for more action.
The tv camera panned away from him to a manly player who was finishing off an opponent when suddenly he was flattened by a human torpedo (O'Grady) who had launched a flying headbutt!!!
Graham O'Grady - we salute you!.
