Dick Thornett Player Profile
Dick Thornett joined Parra in 1963, after a distinguished union career including Australian representation. He also represented his country in the Olympics in water polo.
He was a big running second rower with exceptional ball skills. He played 11 test for australia. He made the Kangaroo tour in 63 and played with his brother Ken. The first brothers to play together for Australia since the Farnsworth brothers in 1912.
Dick Thornett was the player who replaced Arthur "half Game" Beetson in that famous test against the Poms
