Died Carcassonne, June 3, 1994, aged 69.
Puig-Aubert died of a heart attack after a long battle with cancer in his home town of Carcassonne on June 3, 1994.(thanks Malcom Andrews)

Brian BEVAN

Bevan died in a Southport hospital at the age of 66 on Monday, June 3, 1991. The tributes poured in, including one from one of Bevan's arch-rivals Billy Boston - the only other player to have scored more than 500 career tries.
Ex-Wigan winger Boston said in the Warrington Guardian: "Brian Bevan was the greatest I ever played against. He was a real gentleman. No-one will ever near his record."
And Warrington club president Clarrie Owen said: "Words cannot really describe Brian Bevan. He was a one-off. His try-scoring was phenomenal. "I have been privileged to be born in an era which produced Brian Bevan."

Just to let you Know that Tommy Bishop lives at Robina on the Gold Coast.
He spends his time teaching and watching his 7 grandsons playing football. They all hope to follow in his footsteps and succed in playing first grade football even though one plays that other game union. (thanks Gail and Jon).

Billy BOSTON

Still with us?

Billy Boston lives at Hawkley Hall Wigan, he is now retired. He was the landlord of the Griffin pub in Wigan which had become a mecca to RL supporters in Wigan and visiting supporters. He is a regular at the JJB stadium and can be often seen in the West stand with the dignitaries, though it isn't really Billies style. He has time for anyone and everyone and always has a great tale to tell and opinions and about modern players. If you want to wind him up ask his opinion of Offiah(thanks Ed I Tackle)

Dennis runs a garage, as far as I'm aware still is an avid Cas follower, for many years he was on the coaching staff down the lane (sorry Jungle), coaching what was the colts side, would now be equivellent to the academy, he has 3 sons, two of them played for Cas, Ian played a number of first team games before moving on to Dewsbury and unfortunately having to retire prematurely with injury and Richard, a really promising player, who never turned pro in spite of being offered terms.
