Harry Bath Player Profile
Bath, known as the "Old Fox", is regarded as the finest footballer never to represent his country. A leg injury forced him to miss the 1946 test series against Great Britain.
Bath was targetted by the wealthier English clubs and left Aust in 1947, but not before helping Balmain to the title.
Bath ended up playing of 500 games for Warrington, including replay of the 54 Wembley Cup final played at Odsal Stadium berfore a record 103,000 spectators.
Bath scored 1,894 points for the Wires. Bath returned to Australia in 1957 and played 3 seasons with Saints, including the 59 grand final victory over Manly.
Both Bath and Rex Mossop were sent off during the game. Bath went onto become a brilliant coach, coaching St George, Balmain, Newtown, NSW and Australia.
