Kevin Ryan Player Profile
Kevin "Kandos"
Ryan is considered as one of the hardest, toughest men
to hold up the engine room (scrum).
Kandos Ryan was never considered a 'dirty' player but
when you were tackled by him you knew you were tackled.
Ryan captained coached the Canterbury Side that knocked
his old club St George out of the 67 Final and as a
result brought an end to the Saints world record run
of 11 straight victories. Canterbury went on to meet
Souths in the Grand Final.
(Footnote: I was at that game but I can't remember the
final score although there was not much in it)
