Cliff Watson Player Profile
A wild frontrower who enjoyed nothing more than
punishing opposition players. Subtlety was not
in Cliff's forte as he tore into the foe in both
attack and defence.
Watson played 30 test for Great Britain and never
took a backward step in any of them. Cliff Watson
transfered to the Cronulla Sharks and linked up
with his old St helens and Great Britain teammate
Tommy Bishop. Watson stayed at the Sharks for
three years.
His style of play would of made him a regular visitor to
the Judiciary. Cliff introduced the "Liverpool Kiss"
to Australia and Jimmy Morgans head in a test match in Brisbane.
