DESCRIPTION

Artie is the finest ball playing forward Australia has produced. In the late 60,s Beetson earnt the tag of "half game Arite" it is said the he earnt the name during his 40 minutes of mayhem he caused the poms during the third test in 1966. At half time captain coach Ian Walsh replaced him as he was considered too unfit to last a full 80 minutes.
Beetson missed Balmains 69 victory through suspension and it 1970 transferred to Eastern Suburbs and the guideance of Don Furner - the rest is history. Easts, Australia, State of Origin, Parramatta.
