MARK GEYER

PLAYED FOR
CLUB/COUNTRY

Australia, Penrith

DESCRIPTION

Mark Geyer was a Penrith home grown tough forward. He was a major part in the Penrith team that won their first ever grand final. Remember the magical pass to Royce Simmons for Royce's second try......

Geyer was picked in the Blues side to wreak some havoc amongst the Maroons, which he did. King Wally took offense to Geyers manner after the half time whistle and the rest is history. Who can forget the images of Geyer and Lewis eyeballing each other as Referee Manson tried to prize them apart

The league tried to play down the incident but still used it to promote future State of Origins.....talk about double standards.
