MALCOLM REILLY

PLAYED FOR
CLUB/COUNTRY

Great Britain, Manly, Castleford, Warrington

DESCRIPTION

There is nothing in Rugby League that Malcolm Reilly has not done. Winning premierships in the UK, Australia, coaching premiership sides in Australia and the UK, playing for and coaching his country.

But he will be remembered from this era as a very fiery, tough, intimidating (dirty) player for England and Manly. His courage is unquestionable when in the 73 grand final he played with 6 pain killers to his hip. (see Memorable matches)

His ongoing battles with the Souths Hooker George Piggins were like back lane brawls (seeStories Section). A referees nightmare. I have no doubt that if Mal was playing under todays rules and judiciarys, then, he wouldn't be playing.
