Below are two great old team pictures that were sent to me recently by my elderly mother. The first is a picture of the Wallaroo Rugby League Side from the Lithgow Rugby League Division on the western side of the Blue Mountains, New South Wales.

Wallaroo were premiers 1902 - 3 - 4 - 5 and 6. Runners up in 1907. Quigs dear old grand father (see My Story on this website) John Langford also known as Jack Langford. He is the snotty nose little ball boy. I believe the pic was taken in 1907. My grandfather ended up a mad one eyed Newtown Bluebag supporter.

Below is a team picture with my old grandad taken in 1920. The pic contained everything but the name of the club. The ball is marked S.J.F.C.
I believe that it could be a team pic of the Sydneyham Rugby League team as my 'pop' lived and raised his family in Sydneyham. He lived on the Princes Hwy opposite the old Brickworks. The district was governed by the Newtown Rugby League.

As I mentioned previously he was a mad Newtown Bluebags supported and hated St George for stealing Johnny Raper from them. He never forgave Saints for that.

And yeah that's him lying on the floor. "Must of been a winger" R.I.P. pop.
