Loey - Albion Park Sydney

Manly Warringah

Back in 70's Manly played The Roosters on their home turf at the old Sydney Sports Ground. The Roosters were the hot side at the time and Bob O'Reilly was playing in the front row.

All I remember was seeing Bob charge onto the ball running 10 metres from behind the ruck and normally he would have just carrerred over anyone (from the Paddington end).

Well, Terry hit him, he did not make one metre he in fact due to the force of the hit went backwards and landed on his back with Randall standing above him, smilling over the top of him.

Bob at that time was probably the biggest man in the game, he had to be replaced after the hit.

Go Igor those hits no longer exist in our game and we are the worst for it.
